After working with BMI Solutions for a couple of years maintaining their websites, we were delighted to then be offered the chance to re-design them all. BMI Solution's main website is one of the top sites nationally for document scanners and consumables from all recognised manufacturers. When Newsurf, a surf school and shop in Newgale, was taken over by new management, Bruce Sanderson contacted cornerpiece to re-design their website. A fresh, vibrant and modern design was required to emphasise the fun and exciting nature of surfing and other watersports. From the off the Newsurf team were keen to avoid the typical blue, blue, blue approach used on similarly focused websites. After a couple of draft designs we opted for a red / grey / black swatch with splashes of bright colour for different sections which all help the website to stand out from the crowd.
Bob Senior was already familiar with our work on the Nite Owl Europe website. When it came to revamping the existing Fat Buddha website, Bob got in touch and asked cornerpiece to come up with some draft designs. The current branding such as logo, floral designs and colour swatch used in both the existing website and the printed materials including menus, were to remain. Out task was to work with these requirements and to design a new website with a fresh, modern feel. The website needed to be informative, easy to navigate and inviting to visitors, and show off the beautiful interior design of the restaurant and bar.
Sue approached cornerpiece with a typical requirement for a brand new business. A full brand package was needed including logo design, business card and leaflet / flyer design and print, and of course website design. The first stage was to agree on the general look and feel that would portray both the warm and friendly atmosphere of a Northumbrian B&B along with the clean and modern decor and furnishings within. Sue's chosen name for the bread and breakfast 'The Acorns', gave us the obvious direction to go for the graphical part of the logo design.
